1、 Principle of ultrafiltration water purification
Ultrafiltration uses a pressure activated membrane to intercept colloids, particles and substances with relatively high molecular weight in water under the action of external driving force (pressure), while water and small solute particles pass through the membrane separation process (see the figure below for the principle). Materials with molecular weight of 3 × 10 000-1 × 10 000 were screened by micropores on the membrane surface. When the treated water passes through the membrane surface at a certain flow rate under the action of external pressure, the water molecules and solutes with molecular weight less than 300-500 pass through the membrane, while the particles and macromolecules larger than the membrane pore are intercepted due to the screening effect, so that the water is purified. In other words, when water passes through the ultrafiltration membrane, most colloidal silicon in water can be removed, and a large amount of organic matter can be removed at the same time.
2、 How to ensure drinking water safety by ultrafiltration technology
The filter element is undoubtedly important for the water purifier, which can be said to be the core of the whole water purifier. The effect of the filter element is directly related to the work of the water purifier. There are many filter element technologies in water purifier, such as ultrafiltration, microfiltration, nanofiltration and reverse osmosis. Among them, ultrafiltration technology is widely used in the treatment of reducing dye wastewater, electrophoresis paint wastewater and domestic sewage in water plant equipment due to its simple principle, operation and low cost.
In fact, the principle of ultrafiltration is not complicated. Ultrafiltration is a pressurized membrane separation technology, that is, under a certain pressure, small molecular solutes and solvents pass through a special membrane with a certain pore diameter. The schematic diagram of ultrafiltration membrane filtration makes the macromolecular solute unable to pass through and remains on one side of the membrane, so that the macromolecular substances are partially purified. Ultrafiltration membrane is the heart of the whole ultrafiltration equipment. The ultrafiltration membrane is like a very thin skin layer. Due to the high efficiency, good permeability and large flow rate of the skin layer, its mechanical strength is increased. It is like a sieve to filter all kinds of impurities including bacteria and microorganisms, so as to ensure the safety of drinking water. Because the water pressure exceeds the pressure resistance of the ultrafiltration membrane, it will cause damage and failure of the ultrafiltration membrane. Pollutants, bacteria and other small molecular impurities were filtered. Finally, through the dual filtration of post granular activated carbon filter core and TCR activated carbon filter core, the peculiar smell and chemical substances in the water were effectively removed to ensure the fresh and clean water quality.
