Filtration process of reverse osmosis ultrafiltration equipment

December 16, 2020

Reverse osmosis of reverse osmosis ultrafiltration equipment is a new membrane separation technology developed in 1960s. It is a process of separating solvent and solute in solution by reverse osmosis under pressure. Reverse osmosis ultrafiltration equipment osmosis is a physical phenomenon. When two kinds of water containing different salts, if the membrane with half permeability is separated, it will be found that the water on the side with low salt content will penetrate into the water with high salt content through the membrane, while the salt content will not penetrate. In this way, the salt concentration on both sides will be gradually integrated to an even level. However, it takes a long time to complete this process, which is also known as osmotic pressure. However, if the water with high salt content is tested and applied with a pressure, the above-mentioned seepage can also be stopped. The pressure at this time is called osmotic pressure. If the pressure is higher, it can permeate in the opposite direction and the salt remains. Therefore, the reverse osmosis desalination principle of reverse osmosis ultrafiltration equipment is to apply a greater pressure than the natural osmotic pressure in the salty water, so as to make the infiltration proceed. The water molecules in the raw water will be pressed to the other side of the membrane to become clean water, so as to achieve the purpose of removing impurities and salts in water.

1Algae removal method of reverse osmosis ultrafiltration equipment

At present, there are more and more pollutants in the water. In shallow and slow flowing water bodies (such as lakes) which are easily affected by sunlight, algae are easy to propagate in eutrophic conditions, especially in summer and autumn when the water temperature is high. Reverse osmosis and ultrafiltration equipment can remove algae.

2There are three kinds of algae removal methods commonly used in reverse osmosis ultrafiltration equipment

1. The algae removal microfilter of reverse osmosis ultrafiltration equipment is a kind of screen filtration device which intercepts fine suspended solids. The microfiltration used for algae removal mostly uses filter screen with pore size of 20-40 μ M. the removal efficiency of algae is 40% - 70%, and the removal rate of plankton can reach 97%. This method is mainly used to treat lake water with low turbidity and high algae content.

2. In the process of algae removal by air flotation, coagulant is added to the water containing more algae and a certain turbidity to form flocs, and then the flocs are floated to the water surface by reverse osmosis ultrafiltration equipment to remove algae. The separation speed is much faster than that of precipitation.

3. Adding copper sulfate (2-3mg / L) to the water intake lake or raw water storage tank regularly can kill algae or control its reproduction. But this method is toxic to fish. In the water purification process, the growth of algae in water purification structures can be controlled by pre chlorination.

In addition to the disgusting taste and smell of algae in the water, because their specific gravity is close to water, the effect of coagulation and sedimentation is not good, which is easy to block the filter and affect the normal operation of the water plant. Therefore, the reverse osmosis ultrafiltration equipment should be considered in the treatment of lake water with high algae content.

3RO Technology in reverse osmosis ultrafiltration equipment

In fact, there are many different technologies for reverse osmosis equipment. Ro (reverse osmosis) is a membrane separation and filtration technology driven by pressure gauge difference. It originated from the research of Aerospace Science and technology in the 1960s in the United States, and was gradually applied to civil use.

What are the characteristics of RO Technology in reverse osmosis ultrafiltration equipment? The pore diameter of RO reverse osmosis membrane is as small as nanometer (1 nanometer = 10-9 meters). Under certain pressure, H2O molecules can pass through the RO membrane, while inorganic salts, heavy metal ions, organic matters, colloids, bacteria, viruses and other impurities in the source water can not pass through the RO membrane, so that the permeable pure water can be strictly distinguished from the impermeable concentrated water Come on.
